Everyone that knows my Grandpa Ellis will not be suprised to see tears in his eyes. He is so happy to see my precious Ellie. One thing I have treasured about my Grandpa is how much he loves all of us. Loves. I am so grateful that my children and I had this time with him. I wish that I would have taken a picture of him sitting in the recliner (in the back) while he read through a memorial book in his honor made by my Aunt Diane. He was so happy reading all the kind words, memories and pictures. And of course he was tearing up quite a bit. He is so precious.

| We had the unique and priceless opportunity to visit the Joseph Smith Farm and The Sacred Grove with Grandpa Ellis as our personal guide. I love this picture of him gazing out from the visitors center at the farm he once worked, played and loved as a boy. See http://joeliznkids.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html for videos of Grandpa telling us stories of his memories of The Joseph Smith Farm or just go to the 2008 section of our blog at the very end. |

Thanks for posting this Liz. I love Grandpa and am going to miss him. I'm not sad for him though because I know he lived a good life and now he gets to be with the loved ones on the other side that he has missed.
ReplyDeleteThanks Liz! I love Grandpa and all that he does!
